Our Groups

Economic Policy and State Productivity Group

The Economic Policy and State Productivity Group is responsible for economic development, regional and local government outcomes, international engagement, infrastructure, planning, major transactions, energy, resources and land policy.

Governance Policy and Co-ordination Group

The Governance Policy and Co-ordination Group is responsible for public sector governance, performance and reform, cabinet management, community security and emergency management, developing community resilience, intergovernmental relations and strategic communication and protocol. The group supports the Special Minister of State, Gavin Jennings.

Social Policy and Service Delivery Reform Group

The Social Policy and Service Delivery Reform Group is responsible for Aboriginal affairs, multicultural affairs and citizenship, veterans’ affairs, women, equality, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, education, justice, health and human services policy. It also coordinates work around the Family Violence Royal Commission.

People, Culture and Operations Group

The People, Culture and Operations Group works to transform our culture, embed our values and support all our staff, including a focus on women in leadership, flexible work arrangements and leadership capability. This group is also responsible for budget, corporate strategy, systems and processes.

Office of the General Counsel

The Office of the General Counsel provides legal and policy advice in areas including parliamentary committees, Cabinet matters, the making of subordinate legislation and the Victorian Constitution. The office also leads the preparation of legislation for the Premier and Special Minister of State.

Service Victoria

Business Transaction Reform develops and drives major reforms to how government does business and interacts with citizens. The group also works on major commercial projects and transactions to ensure that DPC is fully supporting the government’s delivery of its agenda and major projects by providing a strong strategic overlay that is cognisant of both commercial and policy considerations.

Infrastructure Entities

Infrastructure Entities encompasses Infrastructure Victoria and Projects Victoria to oversee the creation of major new infrastructure entities on behalf of the Victorian government.
