Anzac Centenary Community Grant Program

The Victorian Veterans Council is responsible for distributing funds for this grant program and the Department of Premier and Cabinet manages the administration of the grants.

The Anzac Centenary Community Grant Program offers funding to eligible organisations for projects that commemorate the service and sacrifice of World War One (WWI) veterans and their communities or inform and educate Victorians about the experiences of WWI veterans and their communities.

WWI related projects could include new memorials, one off community events, local community education projects and the preservation of WWI history.

Funding range

The program will run over the Anzac Centenary (2014-18) and is designed to support projects up to $20,000 (excluding GST). Grants are paid exclusive of GST and only one application can be made per project.


Local government authorities, not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions are eligible provided the project is based in Victoria. Unincorporated organisations may arrange for an incorporated organisation to act as an auspice on their behalf.

Open dates

The latest funding round closed 14 February 2017. Successful applications will be announced end of April - early May 2017. There are two funding rounds per year.

Round 1 - Opens 5 June 2017 and closes 28 August 2017
Round 2 - Opens 27 November 2017 and closes 12 February 2018
